Michael Oliver

When patients comment to Michael about the success of his Studio, Michael’s reply is that he is forever grateful to have the support of his patients and a team of outstanding clinicians, nursing and reception staff who have helped his Studio become what it is today.
Having grown up in Sunderland, Michael attended Monkwearmouth Grammar School and qualified from Newcastle Dental School in 1983 as a Batchelor of Dental Surgery. After graduation, Michael became an associate to well respected Dentist, the late Donald Hudson of East Herrington.
Following Donald’s retirement, Michael took over the reins of the practice and he went on to develop the surgery from a two dentist practice into a multi surgery facility. Today, the studio is considered to be a premier state of the art facility within the North East Of England. Michael and his team are proud to be celebrating 25 years of first class excellence in quality dental care.
Michael’s specialist interests are cosmetic dental care and a lot of his clinical time is now dedicated to creating beautiful natural smiles. Michael is also Harley Street Trained in facial rejuvenation therapy.
Having won the People’s award in 2001 for quality patient care Michael also went on to win the practice development category at the 2006 Denplan Awards.
Michael’s passion is watching Sunderland Football Club play and he is delighted to be Dentist of the stars to team players of the Sunderland Football Club !
Away from the surgery Michael is a family man, married to Elizabeth with three children - David, Rosie and Jenny. He claims to relax playing golf and watching Sunderland football team. It is probably true to suggest that a busy day at the surgery offers a little more in the way of relaxation than either of these two demanding activities.
