Gary Stacey

Gary was born and grew up in Nottinghamshire and spending many hours at the City Ground watching Nottingham Forest in their glory years.

He moved to the North East to Newcastle Dental School, graduating in 1983 with Michael Oliver. Having worked in two practices in Berkhamsted and Stockton, he started his own practice in 1989 in Jarrow. From 1990 until 2003, he also worked at Newcastle Dental School, teaching undergraduate dental students on the Periodontal Department. For a number of years he was also a trainer involved in Postgraduate Dental Education, and member of South Tyneside Local Dental Committee.

In the early 1990’s he became the owner of a private dental practice in central Newcastle. Having sold his practices in 2003 he joined the Studio in July 2004.

His main dental interests are preventative dentistry, cosmetic restoration and the treatment of gum disease (Periodontology). He is an active member of the British Society of Periodontology.

Gary’s specialist interests in dentistry are implantology and he has trained extensively to allow implant therapies possible here at the studio.

In his spare time, Gary enjoys playing tennis and golf and can often be found in the French Alps skiing. Gary also enjoys walking and climbing with his two children who share these passions.

Gary enjoys cooking and appreciates real ale.
